It can also be pretty daunting to move into a new environment, especially if you’re not a software developer yourself. If you’re coming to coding bootcamp, I’ve got a few great tips to assist you in making the most of your time and money.
First, I would encourage you to come to a bootcamp that has multiple programming languages. That way you can learn more than one language. Second, Ive found that many bootcamps don’t do well with people who are self-taught. If youre self-taught, I would suggest that you come to a bootcamp that has a faculty that has experience in particular programming languages. For example, Ive been working with a faculty member that has experience with Java and PHP.
As the saying goes, “Do something you love, and the rest will follow.” It’s true. If you don’t love coding, it will be a hell of a lot harder to make money off of what you love to do.
I just heard that I have to teach a class in the middle of the summer. It was like, why? I should have done this years ago. Ive had this stupid idea that I should take the whole summer off and get another job. I guess I should have known that I couldnt be a programmer anyway.
Yes, you should take a break from coding and find a job that you love. It’s hard to find a job that you love and the pay is very low. But you should do it because it’s the right thing to do. It’s also a great way to learn a lot about yourself and your abilities.
Ok, lets be honest. Not a whole lot of programmers take a summer off from coding. Maybe a few who go to coding bootcamps, or a few who go to meet-ups, but overall not many. Even though it is a great way to learn, it is not a great way to learn programming. It is a great way to learn about yourself. Because the entire purpose of coding bootcamps is to train people how to program.
I can’t imagine going to a coding bootcamp and not having the idea that what they are going to teach you is a bunch of gibberish. In fact, I would go so far as to say that if you don’t want to learn anything about yourself, the best place to do that is a coding bootcamp.
Why? Because the purpose of coding bootcamps is to train people how to program. They are not going to teach you how to code, they are going to teach you what programming is, and they are going to teach you how to code using a language that was made by people who are just as stupid as you are.
After you get a little bit of programming under your belt, you can then take it to the next level. As you progress through the coding bootcamp, you will be able to program in more and more ways. In fact, programming is more than just programming. You will learn how to apply a programming language and your programming knowledge to new and interesting problems. And as you progress you will get to see how much you actually learn as you go along.
I’ve been coding for a long time and I’ve learned a lot. I’ve studied enough programming languages to be able to code in them all. But I’m also learning how to code in new languages and how to work with more advanced languages.
