In the age of Instagram (or as I call it, “Insta-gram”) the phrase “brand is what you want” has become something of a cliche. To most of us, the thought of a brand is just a name and a logo. When it comes to clothes, brands are something that you are either a fan of or you like. For example, I hate to admit it, but I actually like the new Puma.

You don’t want to make a bunch of purchases based on the brand name, because if there is a difference then you may have the wrong one. For instance, maybe you are a fan of the Puma brand, but you dislike the brand’s logo. So when you say “Puma” you are saying that you like the brand but dislike the logo.
