The woman who interviewed him said that her firm uses marketing to get people to come to events. She also said that they use the word’marketing’ to mean “how to get people to buy from you,” and that they had a lot of marketing consultants.
The womans reply was that she didnt know what to do.
That is so true. That’s a great question. I think that it depends on the context of the interview. If you’re interviewing someone who works for a public relations firm it is much more acceptable to ask questions about what the company does and what the client wants them to do. If you’re interviewing a guy who’s just graduated from college you might be more apt to ask if he has any experience with marketing.
